The Situation

The Chestnut Grove is a restored 1933 family estate in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, brought back to life as a six-room luxury villa by Gauri Khan, whose maternal family has owned the property since it was built. The restoration itself has been covered by national outlets, from the Tribune to Hotelier India, for keeping the house's original character intact while adding the comfort a high-end stay needs.

A property like this needed more than a page that looks good. It needed to take real bookings: real payment handling, and no risk of the same dates getting booked twice across the other platforms the property lists on.

What We Did

Website design & development

We built thechestnutgrove.com end to end, all six rooms and suites, amenities, gallery, and contact, in a style that matches the property's restored-heritage character rather than a generic templated hotel site.

Payments: Razorpay integration

A direct booking is only as good as the payment flow behind it. We integrated Razorpay so guests can book and pay for their stay directly through the site, rather than the property relying only on third-party listing platforms to collect payment.

Booking sync across OTAs

The property also lists on Airbnb, Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, and other OTAs. We built the channel integration that keeps availability and rates synced in real time across all of them, so a booking made on one platform doesn't leave the same dates open, and double-bookable, somewhere else.

Branding: menu and door key design

Beyond the site, we also designed two pieces of the property's physical guest experience: the dining menu and the room door key design.

Why This Mattered

This wasn't a marketing engagement in the usual sense, there's no ad spend or lead-gen number to report here. It's a straightforward build across four disciplines that don't usually sit in one project: a real website, a working payment flow, live inventory synced across multiple booking platforms, and the print pieces that go with a guest's physical stay. The site went live around the same period the property's restoration was getting national press attention, though that coverage was about the estate itself rather than the website specifically.

Worth noting: we're not claiming the press coverage was about our work, it was about the restoration. What we can say plainly is that everything guests use to book a stay, the site, the payments, the channel sync, was built by TrendyWebs.
Best suited for: hospitality and rental properties that need a real booking-and-payment system behind the website, not just a listing page.

FAQ

Yes. For The Chestnut Grove we integrated Razorpay directly into the site, so guests can book and pay for their stay without leaving the property's own website.

Yes. We built the channel integration for The Chestnut Grove that keeps availability and rates synced in real time across Airbnb, Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, and the other OTAs the property lists on, so the same dates can't be double-booked from two platforms at once.

Where it makes sense, yes. For this project that meant designing the property's dining menu and room door keys alongside the website itself, rather than treating the site as separate from the guest's physical experience.
