Who Igor Butman Is, and Why This Show Mattered

Igor Butman isn't a niche name in jazz circles, he's one of the genre's most credentialed living players. Trained at Berklee College of Music, he was introduced to American audiences by Grover Washington Jr., went on to perform alongside Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea, and Wynton Marsalis, and has built Moscow's most influential jazz venues from the ground up. His 50th-birthday concert filled the 6,000-seat Kremlin Palace. Bill Clinton has publicly called him his "favorite living saxophone player," a line that's followed him through decades of press, not a one-off compliment.

Bringing a performer of that caliber to Mumbai, and filling the room for it, was the brief.

Our Role as Official Marketing Partner

The concert was presented by Alchemist Entertainment, and TrendyWebs came on board as the official marketing partner, running the complete promotional campaign: social media creatives, paid ads, and the show's ticketing listing on BookMyShow, all built to drive awareness for a niche, high-ticket genre like live jazz in front of the right Mumbai audience. We were also on the ground for the event itself. That last part matters: unlike a digital campaign that you can pause, tweak, and relaunch, a live event has one hard date. There's no second chance to fix a weak week of promotion once the house lights come up.

Our CMO, Amey Sharma, was on-ground through the event itself, coordinating execution alongside the Alchemist Entertainment team, and was felicitated on stage for the partnership.

What a Houseful Room Actually Requires

Digital performance marketing and live event marketing share a goal, get the right people to act before a deadline, but the mechanics are different enough that treating them the same is how events under-sell. Ticket movement has to be watched in near real time, not reviewed at the end of the week, because there's no "next month" to fix a slow start. Promotion has to work across more than one channel at once, since a niche audience for something like live jazz doesn't sit neatly inside a single platform. And partner and community networks matter as much as paid media, a houseful room is rarely built on ads alone.

The concert also tied into a cause bigger than the show itself, proceeds supported the Rotary Club of Bombay, which added a genuine community dimension to the promotion beyond simply selling seats.

Thank You, Prashant

This partnership happened because of Prashant Gupta, founder of Caerus3 Advisors and Alchemist Entertainment. Caerus3 Advisors has been a TrendyWebs relationship for a while now, and this was a chance to work together on something outside our usual scope, and genuinely different from anything else on our client roster. We're grateful for the opportunity, and for the trust to be part of an evening this significant.

This was a highlight, not a shift in what we do day to day, our core work is still performance marketing, social, ORM, web development, and the systems behind all of it. But if you've got something unusual in mind, get in touch and we'll see if it's a fit.

FAQ

Complete social media creatives, paid ads, and the show's ticketing listing on BookMyShow, plus on-ground coordination at the event itself, as the concert's official marketing partner.

Not as a standalone service line right now, this was a one-off partnership rather than a core offering. If you have something similar in mind, reach out and we'll see if it's a fit.
