The Situation

Spice Mafia was a new indo-oriental and fusion restaurant opening in Kharadi, Pune. TrendyWebs came on board in 2019, early enough to build the brand identity and logo from a blank page, well before the restaurant welcomed its first guest.

What We Did

The work started with the identity itself: a logo and visual system built around the restaurant's name and concept, designed to carry across signage, menus, and social presence. Once the identity was in place and the restaurant opened its doors, we moved into performance marketing, running the campaigns that drove awareness and footfall for a new name in Pune's crowded restaurant scene.

A Launch That Got Noticed

Spice Mafia's opening drew a visit from Gauri Khan, whose cousin co-owned the restaurant. She attended in person, and shared the visit publicly on her verified Twitter account, posting photos from her table along with the restaurant's signage, tagging Spice Mafia directly for her followers to see.

The restaurant also received a signed photo from Shah Rukh Khan, gifted as a token for the inauguration.

Spice Mafia later served as hospitality partner for a tree-planting campaign with Narain Karthikeyan, India's first Formula 1 driver, another initiative TrendyWebs ran the digital marketing for.

Not every brand we build comes with a celebrity table visit, but this one did. If you're starting from scratch and want the identity done right, get in touch.
