ReFIT came to us as a blank slate, a new premium gym in Hyderabad with no name recognition and no visual identity yet, entering a market where most competitors reach for the same loud, generic gym aesthetic. The brief was simple to state and harder to deliver: build an identity confident enough to justify premium pricing, then prove it could hold up once it left the page and became real signage on a real wall.
Most gyms in Hyderabad lean on the same visual shorthand: bright colors, illustrated dumbbells, motivational typography shouting at full volume. ReFIT's target member wasn't looking for hype. They wanted a serious, disciplined environment that takes results as seriously as they do, so the identity needed to communicate restraint and confidence instead of noise.
That thinking shaped every decision: a tightly set wordmark instead of an illustrated mascot, a black-and-gold palette that reads premium in any context, and a visual system built to hold up as well on a small app icon as it does across an entire gym wall. We built out the full brand guidelines alongside the logo itself, typography, color usage, spacing rules, so ReFIT would look consistent no matter who touched the brand next, from a print vendor to a social media designer.
A logo is only half the job. The real test is whether an identity survives contact with the real world: printed eight feet tall on a storefront, wrapped around a reception desk, applied to a wall members pass a hundred times a week. Once the identity was locked, we mocked up exactly that, storefront signage, entrance branding, and premium environmental treatments across the Hyderabad club.
The goal wasn't just to make ReFIT look good in these spaces. It was to make it recognizable from them, so a member could catch the color and typography out of the corner of their eye and know exactly which gym they were looking at before reading a single word.
